Tuan founded CoreIngestion on a principle he’s carried through two decades in technology: security first, security always. He builds AI that runs entirely inside the customer’s walls — because for safety-critical industries, data sovereignty isn’t a feature, it’s the foundation.
Before founding CoreIngestion, Tuan served as Information Security Officer for one of Seattle’s largest human services nonprofits, protecting sensitive data for 50,000+ clients. There he led AI adoption and data governance agency-wide, commanded response on cyber incidents, and re-architected the security stack with Microsoft Purview and Defender — cutting incident rates by over 80% and reducing response time from days to minutes. He knows firsthand what it means to be accountable for data that cannot leak.
His engineering roots run deep: five years at Microsoft on a DevOps team building chargeback systems that processed millions of transactions a day, IT service with the City of Seattle, a decade as a database administrator, and hands-on experience scaling infrastructure from a single machine to multi-site operations. That combination — enterprise-scale engineering and operational security leadership — shapes how he approaches fault tree analysis: rigorous, verifiable, and deployed where the data lives.
